because i love sundays.The most beautiful moment on sundays is when
you wake up at 7 thinking of going to classes and find that its sunday
and you can sleep till 9.Today i read an article about a new discovery
in cancer.Rather a new treatment using ultraviolet rays.I liked the
idea.seems great.this is how it works-the scientists made some
antibodies that can destroy cancer cells.If it is given as such it
will attack other body cells and cause gross side effects.So the
scientists inactivated these antibodies by masking them and injected
them into the body.Now let us consider a patient with cancer in the
skin say in the back.After injecting the antibodies the back of the
patient is exposed to the ultraviolet rays causing the antibodies to
be activated and they destroy the cancer cells. The only demerit of
this technique is that it can only be applied for cancers near the
surface. Not for deep cancers.This is the best news i have heard about
cancer for a long while and i hope this becomes a turning point in
man's long fight against cancer.
This is the final week of my final year gynec posting.The speciality
of gynec is that you see the same thing everyday and still you dont
know much.Finding the head of the baby from a distended womb is as
enigmatic as astrology.You just guess.Sometimes i think what if there
is no ultra sonography scan.Certainly doctors must be highly skilled
20years back. Or was it the same? Did they just make guesses like us
today? I ll never get an answer for that.Now todays' health tip "to
keep your face clean healthy and scar free stop all cosmetics and wash
your face twice daily with warm water.Wash for 5 minutes and then
scrub your face with a towel.Use a little force.If you have time steam
your face.You will see great results in 10 days". Its my guarantee.
